This 1.5-day event focuses on providing classroom and hands-on training for installing construction site erosion and sediment control practices. It includes a half-day classroom session at Auburn University's Main Campus, covering various topics, and a full-day field component at the Auburn University Stormwater Research Facility. Participants will install erosion and sediment control practices in a typical field setting and observe channelized flow demonstrations to understand the effectiveness of properly installed practices.
The event aims to give attendees hands-on training on commonly employed erosion and sediment control practices in both horizontal and vertical construction. Participants will gain knowledge in compliance regulations, leadership tactics, and practical installation and implementation tools. The field session allows attendees to learn proper installation techniques and observe full-scale testing demonstrations.
By sharing research-based knowledge, the seminar helps industry participants achieve environmental compliance and improve efficiency in erosion and sediment control on construction sites. It is targeted at contractors, engineers, project managers, superintendents, state, county, and municipal agency personnel, and consultants.Conference Credit | 10 Professional Development Hours
